Today was another good day. Evie spent the morning half of it playing with Wilson and Addie before she went back for her PICC line in her arm at around 2. The first thing Evie likes to do in the mornings is my makeup. She and Ben also built a Lego unicorn today which turned out super cute. We then tuned into an activity channel at 11 that the hospital does where they made their own volcanoes. The staff was nice enough to drop one off for Wilson to participate too. She wasn’t allowed to eat or drink until after her “surgery” today, so she wasn’t very happy about that. However, the “surgery” went smoothly and they placed her PICC line in her arm and removed her femoral line while she was already sedated. They also went in for another lumbar puncture to draw some more fluid and also administer another round of chemo directly there. Her one request today was an Elsa dress and Elsa ear rings and shoes, which she of course will be getting tomorrow! She also should be able to take a bath tomorrow which she’s also been looking forward to. She’s more frequently now asking about wanting to go home which sucks having to explain to her that she’s going to be here for a few more weeks though we’re hoping this coming week she’ll actually be allowed to walk around to the play rooms on the floor and even go outside to their healing garden. Her levels are still looking good with her blast cells (leukemia white blood cells) coming back at 5% tonight. Evie ended the night with her favorite bread and butter from Texas Roadhouse and some steak and green beans.
Every Day Evie… You’ve Got This!
